Grid Logic produces high-performance components from superconducting materials, nanocomposites, and other advanced metallic materials. The company is at the forefront of technology development in 3D printing of metals and composites, as well as new methods for producing materials and fabricating parts.

Businesses contract Grid Logic to develop and manufacture next generation components. Federal and state government programs have supported Grid Logic in successful new materials and manufacturing development projects. Grid Logic works both independently and in collaboration with universities, national laboratories, and business partners.

The company’s Michigan manufacturing facility includes additive and conventional production systems. Its laboratory facility has state-of-the-art capabilities for developing and characterizing advanced materials and high-performance parts.

George Caravias, Chief Executive Officer
Before joining Grid Logic, Mr. Caravias founded, built and transitioned two successful technology companies. He also worked in venture capital, specializing in early-stage technology operations. Mr. Caravias began his career as an engineer and has led product and manufacturing system development projects, marketing initiatives, and sales organizations. M.B.A., Columbia Business School; B.S., Engineering California Institute of Technology; B.A., Mathematics/Physics Whitman College.

Matthew Holcomb, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Holcomb has synthesized advanced materials and developed advanced manufacturing methods since his postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He leads Grid Logic’s technology programs and is the inventor of key company capabilities. Dr. Holcomb is an authority on superconducting composite materials, nanostructured material synthesis, and powdered material manufacturing methods. Postdoctoral Fellow Physics, Stanford University, Ph.D., Chemistry, Stanford University; B.S., Chemistry, University of Michigan.

Elizabeth Zavolta, Director of Administration and Controller
Ms. Zavolta has 25 years' experience in accounting, finance, and corporate management. Beginning at William Christenson, and later at The Production Firm, Ms. Zavolta created, coordinated, and directed accounting, reporting and corporate operations. At Grid Logic, Ms. Zavolta leads the financial and administrative functions of the company and has responsibility for federal and state contract management and compliance.
